Hi from Montreal CH and migraines

I can't believe I found this site. Finally a mirror to my life. People really do not understand not even my poor family who has been living with me all their lives and dealing with this. I suffer complicated migraines with TIA symptoms, paralysis the whole gamut, and CH (both diagnosed). I am episodic with CH seems to be weather controlled. This year was particularly bad I had a good couple of years for me and now back to almost being disabled. I am going nuts. The docs says I am at high risk for strokes. Everytime I get numb from the migraines, I say to myself is this it. Oh God..This month the CH are back from hell. sick the whole month three times to ER for Decadron and pain meds. To top it off they tried Topomax my first time and I had a bad reaction to it. I became clinically depressed and was literally suicidal. I became a zombie. I am off of it now but the Ha's came back with a vengence. How ironic. The first time in my 20 year history with this crap that something was working and I could not stay on it. My mind went to a very dark and scary place. OMG. I need a miracle. Y'all know I am sure. Today I tried Reiki (that was interesting). I am a 50 yo divorced woman who raised 3 kids, went through poverty homelessness, no insurance with these damn HA. Moved to Canada where the quality of my life improved free medical care. I am glad to have found this site.

Welcome but sorry you have to be here. Check out the OUCH Canada website as well. There are actually 5 or 6 folks in the Montreal area - you may find that you live near one or the other of them.
