Greetings, I am so glad to have found you all. reading peoples descriptions of their encounters with this devil brought tears to my eyes. I am not alone. That folk have the chronic form is really sad. I would not cope. I am an eposodic sufferer, and in fact have had only three campaigns. The current one is being long and hard, by my standard. The bastard comes once or twice a day and stays for a few hours. If I time the Imigran just right it will pass in an hour or so, but what an hour! I suppose most folk have seen the film 'The Matrix', well that is my favouite metaphor for these visitations. You know how the real world outside the matrix has people existing in pods, connected to the illusory world by cables, and we live an imaged existance. Well there is a cockroach that has found my pod and figured out how to prise the lid open a little on the left hand side. Once or twice a day the roach comes back and has a nibble at my brain. After a while he loses interest and moves on. But I know he will be back.........I live in fear when I'm not in hell. My last episode was about five years ago. I did not make the connection at the time, but, that bout ended when I took an mushroom trip for purely recreational reasons. Reading here and about of the theraputic use of such substances I realise that that may have been the reason for my long break. Sadly it is the wrong season here for collecting mushys. I'll try some acid instead. Good luck to you all

Thanks for the advice re; caution and the illicit drug word. I think I can make a good connection. No, I've not had a specialist diagnosis, just the GP. But there is little doubt, particularly since reading the desciptions here. I know the same bastard. Best wishes

Matrixman, welcome! Too bad that you have to suffer from CH. I just wish and hope that your episodic CH doesn't turn into chronic like mine did... I wish you luck in fighting the good fight against the beast! PFdays, sandie99

Sandie, Mate, I was relieved when I found this place to know that others new this thing and I was not individualy cursed, but the knowledge that some, like you, go though this for really extended periods is terrifying. Can you find the energy to feel any joy? I hope so.
