The subject title, I hope wasnt offensive. Just so happens to be my genes have given me a present that I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. I have been snooping around here for a couple of days now and really like what this site has for us suffers.
I have been getting these headaches since 96' and just relized this weekend what I have. I have been diagnosed with every headache there is and I am really loosing faith in my healthcare system (Im in the navy) I have learned more today than I have been told in 9 years.
Until now I have felt alone because I havent met anybody that can relate to my pain, so I feel looked down upon.
I have been CH free for 9 months until last week when the worst attaack I have ever had hit me. Since then I get 2-4 CH's and they are 6-9 on the Kip scale. I had a 10 last Fri. nite.
My doc gave me Ibuprofen and Fioricet which is basically ecxedrin migraine and diagnosed me with Migraines.
Well needless to say the meds did nothing and I landed in the ER. 3 1/2 hours later I walked out without being seen. The crappy thing about it though, is an officers wife came in with a cut on her foot and was seen in 15 min.
I just feel like nobody understands how I feel.

I have tried Imitrex and it worked well, its just hard trying to get the government to pay for it. My step mom got me a Zomig sample pack and that stuff worked great. I am currently on propranolol and diet coke, but im sure you could guess how well this combo is working. I think I would have a better chance getting gold teeth or fake tits than an oxygen bottle, but I will see.
This site has given me the strength to go in there and really let them know how I feel.

With all this talk about supporting our troops ... you poor guys can't even get top of the line health care  If you can't get the Imitrex or oxygen...ask about the Neurontin. I'm a chronic with some severe episodes, but it does work for me most of the time. I take 600mg 3 times a day. Hang in there honey, this, too, shall pass

OH I forgot to mention - if you get the fake tits - go for the D cup. A lot of people get the C cup only to regret it later.

Yeah, I dont think I will be getting fake tits anytime soon. Maybe in the next life if im a women, but not this one. Gold teeth and fake tits really arent my style either since I am white MALE. I will pass the "D" thing on to my wife though, she is in the market for a set.

Print out the medical info to the left and the info on the following link:

Take these to the doc and ask/demand that he read them. At the very least, you deserve a proper diagnosis. Following that, you need the medication combo that will allow you relief so that you can continue serving your country!

Medical is medical , Tell the butter bar or major for that matter that you have an urgent medical condition. Tylenol and back to duty won't get it. Kick butt and keep in touch. See if there are any 02 cylinders around. Get the info off the link above, check out the OUCH site ,there is a print out there that describes your condition, show it to the dispensary idiot.

You might want to talk to a few of the folks around here. Prense got booted from the Air Force because of CH. Cat's become a master at dealing with the military medicos. There are others, but I'm not very good at the memory thing.

I would also suggest aquiring an O2 tank from your local welding supply if the military won't give it to you. It's cheap and very effective, for most at least...
