Well another sleepless night by running on empty as usual lol, youve got to keep it up. Having only had the pc for 6 months and total novice I couldnt believe it when in the middle of a laser battle that was taking place right behind my eye I came to this site, its now 12.44pm as I write this and I must admit the other messages and stories from sufferers actually brought a smile to my face(bugger nearly cracked)not because of others suffering but just to find that I am not the only one, and wonder where my doctors have been hiding all these yrs.The descriptions in the stories were so familiar with a few new methods of relief, relief now thats a bad choice of word if ever there was,I have had these buggers for as long as I can remember, so thats about 12hrs then, becomes a bit like supporting a bad football team a way of life.....Has anybody tried COLLOIDAL SILVER ???? noticed it on another web site and it had a lot of good press and wondered if it was worth a go(after clamping my head in a vice surely anything is). Please feel free to reccomend anything that works in some way(I dont like guns by the way). Keep your spirits up.....Vet

Welcome aboard vet. READ READ READ, we all try different things with different results. Not everything works the same for every one. Here is what I do. My CH treatment 20min HOT steamy shower 1 hour before bed 3 mg of melatonin and 2 mg of time-release melatonin afterwards Go to bed Wake up in the morning; take 250 mg of magnesium and 20 mg of fluoxetine (prozac) Abort with zomig as needed.

thanks for the reply m8..was advised not to take hot baths at night though, but if it works dont mend it they say.The docs I see have never mentioned C/H to me so they are news to me,shite news may I say, funnily the best method I have found is to press a bag of frozen peas into my eye, this seems to work when they first start but the beast soon learns and tells the bag of relief to pea off and dont waste its time, I reckon the beast is listening right now cause I can feel my eye and temple pulsing so better sign off b4 it wakens.... keep rattling with all them pills m8.......Vet

welcome to clusterville, Vet. Like Thomas said, read up, chances are your doctors know little to nothing about these. Definitely check out the o2 link on the menu to the left and press your doc for it. Hi flow rate 02 with a rebreather mask has proven effective at aborting an attack for a majority of sufferers. Glad you found this place after all your years of suffering. Relief can be found here.

One thing I feel is important for all of us CHeads to realize about our docs is CH is rare - the average number you'll see is less than 1 in 1000 people have them. Its not like high blood pressure and diabetes, which all our docs probably see in 4/5 of their patients. Don't expect your doc to be versed in CH therapies. And certainly don't expect him to be versed in up-to-date information. You may be the only CH patient he will ever have, so if you feel he doesn't know enough about it, odds are very good that indeed he doesn't. Get some help for yourself. Call around to find a doc who can help you, because for most of us, help is out there, but it takes a knowledgeable physician to help us find what is right for each of us. good luck to you, walt

Since I found this site I have gotten alot of support and alot of advice from alot of people. I was given a suggestion to take verapamil as a preventative. I take a low dose but seems to be helping a little and for an abortive the 2 best things that work for me are maxalt(they disolve on your tounge), or Imitrex nasal spray.. My advice is read everything on here and ask all the questions you have on your mind! I hate that there are other sufferers but the advice you will get seems God sent! I wish you many pain free days Shannon
