Glad I found this site

Hello to all. I am so glad I found this site. This is my first experience with C.H. and this "episode" has been going on for about a month now. I found myself trying to explain the headaches to my mom and believe it or not, she tried to downplay my pain, telling me that she "didn't understand why I was complaining so much, and her back (she has arthritis) hurts just as much as one of my headaches". I wanted to smack her. I'm a college educated, intelligent person, and I have felt my share of pain; stitches, surgeries, broken bones, tattoos, ect. and I have NEVER felt pain like this. My first experience with the emergency room was horrible, The Dr. gave me 75mg. of Demerol, which didn't help. When I told him, they basically kicked me out and told me I HAD to leave (I drove myself) and they treated me like I was some drug addict. I have thought of suicide several times over the last month because I am so exhausted and so fed up with waking up every night and hoping and praying the Imitrex works and I have enough Tylenol sinus nitetime to knock me out. I just want to feel "normal" again, to be able to go out with friends without having to leave because I can feel one coming on, or drink a beer, or just have one freaking night where I don't wake up or can't go to sleep because it comes on before bedtime.

Read read read.

Got a good doc?
Preventatives?
O2?

Try melatonin before bed. I'd bet that it will work better than the tylenol.
