I'm afraid to go to sleep tonight because of the pain might return. Been almost every night for the last 2 months. sometimes I have episodes in the daytime too,but mostly at night. Been diagnoised with migraines but when I desided to do ssome research tonight found a lot of my recent headaches seem like CH. I've been gettin headaches since I was 12. My early ones seem more Migraine like but latly(last 2 months) seem more CH. Stuffy nose one side of head pain til my eyes weep, I take meds get in bath or shower pain goes away in 15-20 min. that seem like an eterinty.

HI! I know what you're going through. It's a terrible feeling to be awake at night from fear while the whole world sleeps...except for ch's or insomniacs...well, i guess we fall under that category too... But in all seriousness you need to see a doctor. There's many medications that can prevent them. The Oxygen is great. I'll be praying.

My nero metioned CH at my last apointment but is treated still more for migraines. I think I might be getting both kinds of headaches or inthe past I had migraines and now I am having clusters. I paid close attention to my current symptoms when it happen again this morning. Woke me up, 7 on kip, no nausa, no arau, over in 18 min. That'a different from headaches I had 3+ years ago. Those had long araus, flashing jaggined spots in eyes, nausa, lasted hours without treatment, wanted to be in very dark cave Ussually didn't have me dancing. I think I been mixing up my symtoms from before and now. I need to talk to my nero pronto.

Nighttime hits? Ch is a terrible condition and they hurt no matter what time of the day you get hit. Personally, the ones that kill me the most, are the ones that come while I am sleeping. Many people have had success avoiding the nighttime hits by using melatonin, which in the U.S. is available over the counter. The dosage varies from person to person, but most usually have success with anywhere from 6-9mg. Some have had luck with much lower doses as well; you may have to experiment with the dosage, in order to find the one that is best for you. As with any medication, check with your doctor before you start using it. PFNAD to all.
