Thanks to all and nice to meet you all! Went to the neurologist this morning. I think she was awesome. Appeared very thorough and very understanding. I'm sure you've all been through the battery of tests so need to go there. I guess I was lucky to have had an attack in her presence. My I started tweaking and she knew just that it was going to happen. MAde me feel better. Reassuring... MAde me take a Zomig. 5 minutes later I swear I was smiling again. Been 3 weeks since that happened. WOW! She then had me take Depakote, IT all went away. So here is the plan of action and please let me know what you all think. I understand that we all may experience differences yet I am still very curious. So many meds/drugs and let me tell you as a general rule I hate taking them. I guess it was different for recreation in college but I need my whits for my job. I hope it doesn't zone me out too much!! Went for blood work and going tomorrow for an MRI... Preventative: Prednisone & Depakote Abotive: Zomig, Vioxx, Fiorecet & She even prescribed me Xanax for those "BUG-out" moments when ya just can't calm yourself down. and made a suggestion to go for P.T. for the myofascial pain. Anyone do this?? Well regardless I guess it's a first step and the only way ya know is to try and to test. I already atleast have some peace of mind. ANd that is a start! Thanks again! Eric

Xanax is freaking great. I haven't taken depakote, but alot of others around here have. The prednisone with any luck will either end your cycle or at least keep you pf for a week or two. I personally don't agree with the fioricet.... I'd say stick to the zomig if it works and if not ask for imitrex injections. Try taking about 1000mg of magnesium per day and a multi vitamin. And with the pred you need calcium and potassium. So lot's of bannana's and milk or supplements. Also, melatonin before bed helps alot of us too...

Curious that you weren't prescribed oxygen. You definitely want to try this especially if you want to cut down on the meds you take for aborting. Print out the info on o2 available here and talk to your doc about it. Do not settle for anything less than a high flow regulator and a non-rebreather mask. I aborted 80% of my attacks during my last cycle with just oxygen.

Yes. Definitely get the O2. Tell him you want it and don't take no for an answer. I just don't understand why that's not the first script they write! 15 lpm too... Don't bother with less.
