Before you go to your doc, make sure s/he is well versed in CURRENT CH therapies. My regular physician wasn't and I would have suffered for weeks following his advice. Then I looked around and found a neuro that specializes in headaches, and I walked into their office and started getting a CH, but walked out of their office with it going away from an injection they gave me for it and haven't had one since. Trust me - if they aren't versed in current treatments, don't waste your time. Find someone who is familiar with the meds listed on this site. What worked for me like a miracle straight from God was: 1) Prednisone; 2) Verapimil; 3) Ergotamine; And find someone who will also prescribe 02 and an imitrex/Zomig nasal spray or injectibles. Good luck to you, sorry you're in pain. Hang in there, help is out there - just don't allow yourself to be treated by someone who isn't up to date - it isn't worth the price you will pay. marfanoidus

| Good advice... Just because they're a neuro doesn't mean they know squat about clusters.
