Will it seems like I am an old sufferer.Anyway Hello My name is Randy and I have had CH for about 25 years now. So far this website has been awesome. Married- Father of Two/22 & 15 It seems I have tried every medication there is but I know thats not possible.I was one of Stanfords first Ginni-Pigs in 1979 for a Prednisone study of clusterheadaches. They put me on 100 Mg a day for 3 months before even starting the taper.Of course at that time I had no Idea you had to taper off this stuff I was willing to try anything to get rid of this Devil or whatever the hell it was out of my head. I wound up not suffering as bad but the side effect where WOW. I gained 150 pound of water fat-3 chins and my face looked like the surface of the moon. What a memory....Thanks for your help so far and cant wait to learn anything I can.[email]clusterhed@aol.com

Welcome aboard Randy. What's your current condition? In/Out of cycle, or (God forbid) chronic? Have you tried any of the suggestions here like Oxygen, Melatonin, etc... -fubar

Hello Randal I'm a new gal-old sufferer! I have had CH for around 20 or so years, not chronic, but was told I had migraines. Found out differently a few years ago but did not know about any meds for CH till I found this site. This place has been very helpful to me and I hope it will for you too.

Welcome to the fold. Here, you'll find lots for support and some good ways to deal with this horror. Sadly, the club grows every day but so does our determination to survive. Here is a link to something that worked very well for me: http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/ I hope you stick around and let us know how you're doing. Charlie

Hi Randy, Welcome to the board. Tons of good information here. Read the links on the left, if you haven't already done so. Wow, sounds like you were on a helluva Prednisone trip! Would be interesting to know if you are currently on any meds. And like Shawn said.....are you chronic, episodic, in or out of cycle? Let us know how you're doing. PF vibes, Jean

I am in a cycle right now and it will most likley go on for about 6 weeks.I am not chronic but I have had a few CH during the rest of year out of cycle if I eat something wrong or dont quit the habit. (to many ciggs). I am just taking IMITREX 100 MG and still take Varapamil 240 MG every day. Take Care RB
