well it's been a week of maxing out on the triptans and freaking my GP out (she thought I was going to OD on the imitrex).  Was getting hit with kip 7-10s three to seven times a day.  It was total hell, but you all know the story.  So I was reading up on the Kudzu and thought "fricken A" I ran out and got some at the local German pharmacy.  Started it today and wow...within just a couple of hours the shadows have left and have been PF!!!  Maybe this is too soon but I have a very good feeling about it.

No. I'm on Prednisone and Verapamil. AND I spoke too soon. I've had a mild set-back this afternoon, of all times. Son of a Gun I thought I was ending. The only thing I can say is Imitrex has worked in the past then I grew immune to it. Now it took along time for the Pred and Ver to work but for the past five nights I've been comfortable. Man I hope you get pain free fast !!! Good Luck !~

r_head............don't give up so easy. Increase the Kudzu you're taking.....X - 2. The stuff is about as toxic as tofu.
You can always back down later, and try a different routine.

Beta testing sucks at best.

Thanks Happy....I went totally off the imitrex and increased the Kudzu....I also talked my GP into a bottle of 800 mg Motrin and also some percocets.

im now taking the motrin two times per day, 900 mg of Kudzu twice per day and verap 240 mg once per day.

im happy to say I have been pain free once I stoped the imitrex and stuck with the above coctail.  I have taken the percocets a few times but have been limited on using it.

Be careful with the percocets - they can cause rebounds. Not sure about the motrin (I know Excedrin can cause rebounds). Wish you PF times for the holidays.

Have you tried O2. I usually hit it and coffee at the first sign of the beast. Most of time I can abort with this. But I'm chronic and have been living with it for so long - I do a lot of things .....

PF wishes to you.

Percocet is abused by alot of people. Pain Killers really don't do a thing for me. But Barbara is correct be very careful with the intake of percocet. Like I said before the dosage of prednisone and verapamil worked-thus far. Today is my 8th /9th pain free night. BUT I still feel some pangs of minor pain hanging around by midday. This is my 15th cycle since developing  clusters, and I learn something everyday.
