Something new to get thru the night?

Over the last ten days have taken a small amount of Ambien (5mg) on three occasions to try and get some sleep. Not only did I sleep soundly and awake refreshed, but NO - I repeat NO - hits in the wee hours of the morning. I've tried Melatonon with mixed results, but never Ambien before and this stuff seems remakable. Anybody else used Ambien to get thru the night? Phil

Drug Information For: AMBIEN 5MG TABLETS Ingredient Name: ZOLPIDEM (zole-PI-dem) Drug Manufacturer: SANOFI Common Uses: This medicine is a sedative-hypnotic used for the short-term treatment of insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep). I've heard this is a good sleep aid, but at around $3.00 per dose, it's a little pricey for me (no RX insurance).

Thanks for the info Patti. I use an oil based sleeping tablet, Normison and it seems to give me sleep without a hit or a hangover.
