He lied. LOL Botox may help migraines, but no one has ever reported that it helps their CH. Look on the meds board, there's been threads on it before. pf wishes, nani

Sure have, but seeing that its cosmetic you will probably pay out of pocket. What the hell, if it dont work at least you will look good Folks have posted about it (Very few) and none have said that it was all that.

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

I tried it several times. It does nothing for ch but does make the migraines go away. Lasts for about 3-4 months. Then need more shots.

It worked for my Clusters during my eposide 3 years ago. When I get my Clusters, I get sever pain up my neck, I cannot even lightly touch my neck, without the pain shooting to my right front head. So, my neck is where the doctor gave me the Botox shots, and it worked. This time however, I knew I was starting my cycle, and I was going away on vacation for 2 weeks. I was deathly afraid of getting the clusters while I was on vacation, so, I convinced the doctor to give me the Botox before the Clusters started. I was fine for 10 days, but on the 11th day, they started. I don't know if it was because I started the Botox too soon? But it did work 3 years ago. And when I researched it 3 years ago, I remember people responding on this board saying that it worked for them one time, but then it did not work another time. If your insurance company will cover it, it's worth a try. My Insurnance company did cover it.
