Beast Returns

The beast is back. It's a little like clockwork hitting me each Autumn. However, for now, it's a little different. After 7/8 years of suffering in misdiagnosis of an 8 week cycle I moved to the clusterbuster method last year after careful thought and help. It was the first time I'd had relief and managed to close down the last cycle in mid-flow. This time it's different. Did a couple of pre-emptive doses in September but in the past week I have had a shadow-like attack, one small hit (triggered by a hot sauna) and another 3 days later. Sipping the mixture stopped two attacks at least as well as the sublingual Maxalt I took briefly last year. The other attack from the sauna was without access to meds but far shorter than the normal 2 hours (and was my first CH where I could spot an obvious trigger). In the past it'd be 2-3 hits a day each up to 2 1/2 hours - so things are better than ever before. No nasty meds to deal with - tho' O2 would be my next choice. Feel a little like the man jumping off a tall building - so far so good, so far so good, so far so good - just expecting the splat of the beast to follow soon. Watch this space - if this method continues to change my life I'll let you know. If not I'll be back for advice, not to mention a parachute to break that fall from the tall building.

Careful the first step is a doosy. I'm a fall winter CHr. Started the alternative therapy last year as well with good sucess I hope the same for you. Been pain free until two weeks ago got hit with a sneak attack and hit it with the caffiene until I dosed. So no problem since. Hope your episode will be aborted. Still PF? One step ahead of the demon. jb
