Autumn's the time I usually start to get a little nervous, since that's when the beast turns up - or has done for the past seven years up to my 'formal' diagnosis this time last year.

All my finger's are firmly crossed that it's under control for the first time and so far all the signs are good.  For that there's huge thanks due to those here who've helped me manage the condition and steer me to a cure that not only works for me (clusterbusters) but doesn't involve polypharmacy and various pills with unpleasant side effects (such as lethargy and increased carbohydrate appetite - irritating yes but still a huge progression from the actual attacks).

One thing I do notice right now is this nervous 'tic' around the eyebrow  on the side of my head that's normally affected - no pain, virtually invisible to the human eye. No drooping eyelid, runny nose or any other sign of a hit.

Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

I guess I'm trying to find out whether this is a sign that the attacks are lurking in the background, and, being kept at bay with preventative medication I'm taking or if it's just just another quirk of getting older?

I get the eye tics, too. When I was chronic, I got them everyday. Thanks to clusterbusters...I'm no longer chronic and the tics have disappeared.  Grin
If you've dosed as a prevent, it's not unusual to have some of the autonomic symprtoms without the pain.
If you haven't dosed yet, I guess I'd be on the lookout for other symptoms and prepare to dose.
PF wishes, nani

Hi. I was just wondering what your "clusterbuster" is that you use to prevent your headaches.  My husband is new to these, and I feel awful for him. I just want to know that there is something that can help him get back to being himself again.

Yes, I get twitches of the eye on my cluster side - especially when activity is ramping up, but sometimes at random times of the year.

You might consider magnesium, B vitamins, anti-coagulants, or other support therapies that do not interfere with the busting technique. Not sure about melatonin and clusterbusters, but I go for melatonin first when I see evidence of a cycle starting.
