To all the female sufferers out there: Have any of you noticed your cluster cycle being related to your menstrual cycle? I don't think this has always been the case with me, but lately they've been seeming to correlate to each other...my CH cycle starts a few days before... anyone else? Thanks! M

| No. I get my cycle for about 37 days, every other year beginning in the month of September. Only once did it come at a different time, and that was 2 1/2 weeks after having my son, in July of 2003.

If that were the case, then we would know about when they would start and when they would end wouldn't we. Maybe you could have what they are now calling menstrual migraines. Have you been diagnoised as a cluster headache sufferer by a doctor? And if so, for how long? Please, let's not give them too many things to blame on PMS, or other female conditions. You see, I am a clustersister, and I refuse to let this be blamed on my menstrual cycle and for it to be classified as a normal migraine, because IT IS NOT. I am not really yelling at you, but rather making a point. I have been having these things for too long, and if I thought that it was related to my menstrual cycle, I believe that I would have them take care of that. But maybe we can find another sister, who no longer has her cycle, that can help us with this question.

I had a hysterectomy 16 years ago and my cluster cycles began 6 years ago, so, no I don't think clusters have anything whatsoever to do with menstrual cycles.

Have CH for the past 14 years and had a hysterectomy about 8 years ago. Made no difference.

Had cluster cycles before menopause. Still have cluster cycles after menopause. The several cycles I had prior to menopause weren't related to periods. Maybe you've got a couple different syndromes going on. Sorry I'm no help! Kris
