No S, man. It's like when they come they still suprise me at how much they hurt. So at the same time that i am grunting in pain and keeled over while dancing, I am impressed at how much fucking pain can be in 1 head. Its really amazing, can't put it to words. PF wishes, let's hope we get hit less than 3 times tonite, and we can chalk that up as a W. BMonee

And not only how bad it hurts but how unique the pain is. The pain of a broken bone, cuts, scrapes, hangover or a splinter under a finger nail is one kind. The pain of a broken heart is another kind of pain. The pain of childbirth is, I don't know since I've never given birth, is another kind of pain. But, Cluster headache is in a class all by itself. There is no other pain like it. Totally, pure pain.

Having experienced all of the above including three natural childbirths I can say without reservation..... all of them together don't touch a cluster. I'm getting hammerred along with you today and sorry to say misery does not like company. Wish you were pain free and I could relish your experience vicariously. But here's a to make us both feel better. Kim

Eric & Kimmessue, I'm sending PF wishes your way. What amazed me wife when this cycle started was how much I could dance, jump, bang my head when I got my first hit this cycle, just 4 days after back surgery. I could barely get out of bed when PF, but jumped around like crazy when the demon visited. Jose

Kim and Eric, It's sad to hear you are going through this right now, but it's good that you are at least well enough to log on here and get some support. May you both be PF very soon. Pat

I know what you guys mean, I keep trying to get to bed earlier every night, just to try and get enough hours of sleep, but I just seems to make the night longer. Last night I think I went through 4 hits, 1 bad one about an hour after aleep and the 3 smaller ones about 2-3 hours apart. Almost like trimors after an earth quake or like waves when a boat passes. ?? I don't know. I know they all hurt like hell. Thats what I do not understand, how hey come and go with the amount of pain. I have even been knocked in the head pretty good, but when they come on, its like 10x worse. Some days though my head is so sore from the night before, I can not even touch it, it even hurts when the wind blows my hair. I tired 2 tylonal yeaterday, big mistake, about 30 minutes later I got about the 3rd daytime hit that I have had this cycle. I like getting them at night and not during the day at work, but then we get no sleep. Glad I found this place, I would just go NUTS tring to figure it out, but all we need to do is deal with it and PRAY for the PF times. I WISH PFDAN's TO ALL !!!!

I know this shit hurts like hell. There's nothing else like it in the world, and its demoralizing when we hope that the one we just had would be the last one, and then bang, another one comes along. Stay strong! Keep the faith! If I were a genie, I'd give you PFDAN forever, along with every other CH sufferer in the world.

I am still amazed at how smart these things can be. As soon as I tell someone I think my medicine is helping, I start getting hit everynight! They never let you forget! And believe me, I havn't. I will officially be chronic in October. So I guess I have a lot to look forward to. Best wishes everyone! Brandi

I have not experienced "childbirth" in the traditional sense. I did however, go through an unmedicated c-section due to a defective epidural pump. This was worse.

I hope y'all suffering CH right now are feeling better ASAP. It's interesting as I have read through many of these posts, though. Mine seemed to last longer than most of yours, but I had fewer hits per day. Normally once it came on it would ebb and flow a bit, but generally maintained constant pain for 2-5 hours. I wonder if it's a difference between nighttime or daytime attacks (mine were daytime)? That could be an interesting "study."

I told my husband that I was amazed that this headhell has not thrown me into a stroke or a heart attack. I still think that this pain is nowhere near normal, and there has to be something that someone can do about them. My prayer is that God gives me the strength to endure until they do. And I do think that the nighttime ones, or for shiftworkers like me, the ones that happen after you go to sleep are the worse. Probably because your guard is down and you don't know that hell is about to break loose.
