you are not supposed to exceed 12 mg or 2 full statdoses If you are using the statdose read the imitrex tip located to the left of the message board..click that hyperlink for a fantastic tip to getting more bang for your buck It is a way that you can extend your injections.... Many of us who use have found that we can get just as much relief from taking less medication... I can usually abort by using 1/3 of an injection which translates to 3 hits per syringe or 6 per pack. On bad days or while peaking I may get that many hits that need to be aborted and this way I can use the injections without exceeding the safe limit. Good luck!!!

Ditto to Eric. Imitrex is also available in multidose vials. No less expensive, but you need to learn how to give yourself injections using TB or Insulin syringes. The pharmacist or nurse should show you how. Usually though, multidose vials need to be special ordered by your pharmacy. I have a special aversion to sticking myself more than once with the same needle, so prefer the vials myself. However, the tip on the left works. Regardless, please don't exceed the recommended 12mg/day dose. Tryptans can be dangerous when your exceed that. Kris
