Indomethecian and Verapamil

So I've been take 50 mg of Indo. 3 times a day for over a week now and up to 120 mg of Verapamil twice a day for a week after taking it once a day for a week. I'm mostly PF now. I can still tell when I get an attack but it really doesn't even rate as a shadow, unless I oversleep and the Indo. wears off. Although this is great and relieving news, I feel like crap most of the time. Run down, tired and just kinda crappy all around. Is this something I have to look foward to until my cycle ends (when ever that'll be) or is there a chance I still need a little more time to adjust to the meds. Better days

Jasen, I'm in the same boat (75mg Indo X3 and 480 of Verap a day) and don't have much energy. I force myself to do stuff just because I feel so much better than with the headaches. I'm so much better on this mix than I was before that I'm starting to get the hang of being able to plan for doing something and know that it will be possible to do it. Check with your Neuro about the Verap dose and see what they say. I'ts nice to finally have my BP down to the 130s/70s for a change!!!

Hi Jasen, Welcome to the world of cluster episodes! I've never been on Indocin for clusters, just for weird things I can't pronounce. Never made me tired - just upset my stomach a little. However, I've been on large doses of Verapamil for my clusters with no side effects at all except the dreaded "constipation problem!" Be sure to have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis, since Verap can lower BP enough to cause an exhausted feeling. Regardless, enjoy your PF time! Hugs, Kris

I'm on 75 mg Indomethicn twice a day and 120 Verapamil 3 times per day. My side effects are tiredness, constipation, and at 2 indomethacin a day my blood pressure gets weird (last year it hit 120/105 - just the bottom # goes up). I was at 75 mg Indomethacin once a day and 120 Verapamil 2 times per day and doing well until about a month ago. Then I started a cycle and am up to the dose at the top of the message..... I am still having clusters every morning, but not as intense and only one per day (instead of 2 or 3). Hope things go well for you! Mark

Adjustments in meds. is a constant task - what are safe dosages/where you find relief/what can your body tolerate. Currently @ 720mg Verapamil - 240x3 daily (with other meds.) - but wouldn't trade the lethargic feelings for the big nasty Clusters it stops. Higher doses can also cause swelling in legs/feet. Just missing my dose by an hour or two will bring on devistating string of clusters. Best wishes on finding what works for you. Tom

I've alwayshad moderetly low BP which I told the Neuro about. I she her at 10:00 this morning, so I'll see if/what we can do. I wasn't as run down yesterday as when I posted this a few days ago. Ran out of my Oxycodone the other day and have been having minor headachs, just enough that I can't really sleep. Been up for 23hrs. now But at least it's my day off. Thanx for the input Better days
