34 years of cluster headaches and shadows. I'm 57 and just getting tired of losing out on family time vacations and work. God bless, TerryS

Mine started when I was nineteen. Every single year I would have 2-3 cycles. I'm 47 now and have been out of cycle for going on 4 years. I certainly hope we out grow them.

Hate to pee on your parade here but I'm 62 now - have had this misery in my life for well more than half of it and continue to do so. The good news is that I skipped a cycle this year and maybe that means I've finally outgrown it! We can always hope. Carol

Hey Terry, good to see ya. I'm 58 and been out of cycle for about 5 years. I have had cycles of just shadows from January to March each year since but that is something I can live with. I still get an individual attack now and then but usually it's my own fault by allowing myself to become overtired (damn rotating shifts) or by taking a nap.

Perhaps I'm different than most ... mine didn't start until I was 42. However, my cycles are pretty consistently 3-5 years apart. So, don't let me rain on your parade! Kris

For some reason this time I had no daily shadows and when I did wake up at night it was just a shadow that 02 killed in 5 minutes (I have never killed a HA that woke me up with 02) I told my Neuro this and he said "take what you feel you have to, you have been doing this so long you know more than I do".................I love that guy Im going to continue to half dose as long as I can and hopefully ween off.....Can I get a Fuckeneh? .......................................jonny |

If that can happen to me, even better can happen to you....If we are all lucky they will just go away like they did with Charlie (I still think he made a deal with the devil )

I hope we do! Mine started when I was 21, I'm 25 now. So just few years of hell... But looking into the future with optimism.

My physician told me that they get better in old age. I plan to cling onto that hope.

Wow, I missed this one so I didn't have a chance to say Howdy to Terry - Howdy Terry! Nice to see some of the long timers still popping in. While I'll never be as old as BobG and that other geezer BobP, mine have gotten worse now that I'm in my 50's. I WAS hoping that they would fade away into the sunset..... (The CH's - not the Bob's ) Marc

Terry, I, too am glad to see you posting... Charlie is a real good example. But then again you have KIP who is still fighting the beast. Don't know what else to tell you except I am glad you are here. Linda
