On the part with oxygen info for this site it says that you cant have the tubes going into the nostrils.. Why is that? I have the tubes and it works well for me.. Is it a safety issue?

I just got on O2 last week. The reason explained to me is that the flow rate is to high for the nostril tubes to be efficent. But I suppose that all depends on how much you need. I have a mask and when things are bad and I'm crankin 15 lpm I don't think the tubes would work as well.
And besides, those tubes always make me feel like I haven't trimed my nose hair in a month of sundays.

If it works well for you consider yourself fortunate is all I can say.  I was prescribed an oxygen machine with the nostril things a few years ago, which is incorrect for clusters and it did absolutely no good as expected.  Either your headaches are mild in nature or that technique is unique to you.  Trust me though, face mask and a regulator is much more efficient and gets the job done fast!  Read everyone else's thoughts on here, they are the same pretty much, take care my friend and god bless... pain free times for you!   Roll Eyes

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
