I had ALMOST forgotten...

It has been over a year since my last cycle...I thought silently to myself, maybe I'm done, maybe I finally outgrew these damn things!! HAAA! Definately, Absolutely, Horribly WRONG!!! Boy do I miss the days of being able to make dinner, sit down with my family and have a "normal" meal. I am so depressed, it has completely taken over my life once again...I've beat it before and I will again! These are the worst I have ever had! It reminds me of a tornado back building and then getting stronger and wiping out my entire life! Has anyone elses CH gotten worse as you get older? Just needed to vent...whew, I've got a long road ahead! I sure am glad to have you guys! Much Love! April Bee

My current cluster cycle is the worsed I've ever experienced. Same frequency but much more severe pain. The last was three years ago and I don't remember those hurting as much as these ones.

Sorry you are having such a ruff time. I honestly wish none of us ever had to wonder if it was going to come back. Stay strong and don't let the creep beat you. We are here for you so vent away. This is only my second time but this one is six months strong so can't really tell you if it gets worse as I have gotten older. PF wishes..Kim

No problem I know how you feel. I felt all alone until finding this place. Keep smiling.

It may depend on how old is old. Mine started at age 20 and were bad but I handled them. By age 40 they were just as bad but I wore out easier and felt more sorry for myself. By age 50 they had stretched out to a cycle every couple of years instead of once or twice a year. Attacks were just as severe. Age 54 now. Last remission was 3 years and 3 months long. Current cycle is in week 9 (which is a longer cycle than when I was young). In those 9 weeks I've 2 attacks that I would call 10's. The others are all in the Kip 3-5 range and knocked out with O2 in 5-10 minutes. So: longer remissions longer cycles weaker attacks

My cycles got worse as I got older. My last cycle in June 2004 never went into remission and it was only until just recently when the LSA seeds broke the pain cycle finally... Hang in there and wishing you PFDAN's... Langa
