I'm on topamax, but my doc wouldn't put me on verapamil...said it tends to make people kind of depressed. I have heard great things about it from other people though.

Its not unheard of that Verap has entered ones system in just three days, there are many factors to consider.....it takes seven days or more for some folks. Ive been taking verap and Lithum everyday for 13-14 years and it has been a godsend....hope it keeps working for Mark!!

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.

| That's ironic......big time side effect of Topamax is depression. Verapamil is 1st line and Topamax is 2nd Yes Buff.....You can be on more than 1. Wishing the best! E

Lots of us have tried one of them or like me, both. Topamax didn't do any good for me. Read the list of side effects, I had most of them... But verpamil has been good to me. Sure, I've nearly fainted several times (as I'm the only one in my family who has low blood pressure), but CH has been nearly gone once my dose went up to 600mg/day.
