H/A book by Mayo Clinic

I found/ bought a book at Borders entitled "Mayo Clinic on Headache",  published 2004. Has so much good info on every kind of headache including a detailed chapter (#10) on Cluster Headaches.
Thought you all might want to look into it. I find that half the battle is understanding what is happening in my body when the headaches are in progress.
I suffered from Clusters from age 17 thru 33 every year. I have been on a SSRI Anti-Depressant for 4 years and haven't had a cluster episode in 4 years. I wasnt put on this med for the H/A's but rather for depression. I find it odd though that I've had no H/A's while on it. I guess SSRI's are prescribed for headaches.
Just thought I'd mention this incase anyone here wants to talk to their Doctor about it.
You are ALL in my prayers! I ask that he take your pain away or lessen it to be bearable!

Karla, it is Zoloft that I use.

BigAl, I am not a book salesman. Please think before you reply as you did as I offered this info for you too.
As it states inside the front cover, word for word, "Revenue from publishing activities supports Mayo Clinic programs, including medical education and research".
Doctors and others in any medical facility are encouraged to create these types of published material. Revenue from them goes right back into research. I bought this book and am contributing to research of my own medical condition.
And before you ask, I do not work for Mayo Clinic.  Undecided

It is up to YOU to educate yourself and then help your doctor plan your treatment. If you just sit down in front of your doctor and say "make me better" you are setting yourself up for a great deal of pain.
