At night these last few nights the blood vessels on my legs and feet have swelled up greatly in both of my legs. To the point it is actualy painfull. Is it the prednistone causeing this? Is this normal? It only happens on breakthrough attacks. When i started this cycle i was given a large dose, then a week later I was given them in pill form as a taper with 9 days left. Has anyone else had this problem? Do I need to call the doc.? Thanks Matt

yes, ask the dr. but that shouldn't happen until maybe when you start tappering off or the first day you are off. because prednisone is an anti-inflamitory drug. so i tighten up for a week, and then when i taper i swell a bit. but also check with your dr. what i do is find the lowes dose that stops the attacks. usually 30 or 40mg and taper off that. i don't like to start with the 60mg that most dr's start with. good luck
