Weather and CH

It's that time of year in Kansas and I'm having a harder time keeping the monster at bay. I can predict storms far better than the weatherman. My husband thinks it is just part of my cycle but I think it is definitely relates to the weather itself. Anyone else have a harder time during storms or prior to them?

I can always tell when the barometric pressure is changing because I wake up with that tell-tale pressure in my cluster eye. Lucky for me, it doesn't mean a cycle is starting, just that the weather is changing ... strange, but true. Maybe it's a bit like old war wounds that start hurting when it's going to rain. Regardless, I'm getting pretty good at predicting rain and snow storms. Kris

I've always thought the HAs had something to do with the barometer. Hate Spring and Fall.... especially.... Hugs BD

Oh yeah! Low pressure can be Hell . All of my relatives ask me if it's going to snow. I get pressure on whichever side of my head is being attacked at the time. I have some arthritus as well so it performs the double whammy on me. . You are not alone. Joe

My cycles usually start when there is a drastic change in the weather. I'm alright if we ease into a season, but when it goes from -20c to +2 in a day my head usually freaks. Ive often thought about moving to a country where the weather stays the same all the time but I just love Canada too much! Belle

Living in the Souteast I too am the weather man! actually they are my worst and biggest trigger. hurricane season almost kills me. During the aftermath's of hurricane storms, I will sometimes get them everyother hour for two to five days in a row.

| Ditto to that Kris --- it doesn't mean a cycle is starting for me but I can sure tell when the weather is about to change... kinda like that saying "By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes... " -- I saw that on some movie somewhere... Survivor -- I too am in the South East ... last season Francis and Ivan came through my backyard .... it was not pretty as I recall.

Cold is o.k., it's the heat that's the trigger. Not sure about day to day pressures. Rain doesn't make a difference to me. Change of seasons do seem to have an effect on cycles starting.

Weather don't do a thing for me, get them in heat, cold, rain, dry, any season. Keeps life interesting . This 2 week break then back into cycle has me a bit "tempermental"

Sometimes a cold wind hitting my face causes my pain to increase, other times not and then again the pain will be just as bad when the weather is warm and dry, warm and wet, cold and dry, cold and wet-go figure!

A rapid baro pressure drop will bring a big hit on for me every time. Same thing with a rapid baro pressure rise. My non-ch friends call me a walking weatherperson! edit for spelling cause I can't spell today!

| Ditto. Rapid changes in barometric pressure bring on series of severe hits. So does warm and wet weather. PFDAN to all, Perry.

Always been aware of barometric changes and CH. Oddly driving up or down mountains, or flying, has never made a blind bit of difference.

HHUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMM... This is very interesting being the fact that the last week the weather has been cloudy, wet and cold except for Wed. CH has been a beast and a half starting Monday, Tues. (9 kip) & on Wed. was mild 2-3 kip. Then Thurs. needed O2 and Imitrex like Mon. and Tues. Today it continues at a 4-5 kip. I never really related it to the weather now I will pay closer attention. Thanks for the information.
