No smells or odors, unless they are really overpowering. My triggers are sunlight, bending over, sneezing, crying, nose blowing, and sensory "overload" where noise and/or activity levels are overwhelming

Smells aren't usually a trigger for me.... when I'm in an attack my sense of smell seems to increase to bloodhound type status on the side of my head that doesn't get the HA ...

triggers..... gasoline diesel paint thinner paint fresh flowers eucalyptus cologne perfume cigars freshly mowed wild onions candles potpourri ammonia That's all I can think of right now! Being chronic, it doesn't matter if I'm in a good spell of a few days or not if I run into any of the above. Within 2 minutes and I'm rockin'.

Sharp floral aromatics mostly in the early spring and fall. Generally from flowering shrubs, vines or trees. Honeysuckle, Magnolia, all the stuff of country music songs. No problem with chemicals and solvents though. Like others, my sense of smell also becomes highly talented, along with my hearing during a cycle. You can play a radio on low volume at the other end of the house when I'm getting hit and i'll hear it. Maybe, clusterheads are just one step away from "superhero" status -- just a couple more highly attuned senses and we'd be there.

When people marinate in their perfume or aftershave enough to leave vapor trails... Holy Hell.... Likewise, perfume counters in department stores will start me gagging and coughing. I work around plastics, and sometimes, heating and melting plastics will trigger CH, when in cycle. Other triggers I've identified: Being too warm when sleeping and repetitive, unnecessary noise, (I've always had highly sensitive hearing), and Sonic hamburgers. I don't know why, but those things always trigger a CH for me, when in cycle. On the other hand, I can have a beer or knock back a glass of scotch while in cycle, and it doesn't bother me a bit.

I'm in a classroom right now and SOMEBODY... is wearing some aroma... I haven't quite figured out who it is yet, but I have it narrowed down to 2, both guys, and I can't get near them. I'll be polite, for sure, but it makes things tough. usually though, it's: exhaust fumes from vehicles... cleaning supplies like bleaCH, ammonia acetate (nail polish remover) perfume (don't want to be rude, but I HATE scents on a woman)

Before I started to get clusters my mother would ask me not to use any fragrances( shampoo, lotion, perfume,hairspray,etc...) at all because they would give her a headache. I guess I am getting my payback now. I sit in a small office with 12 other women and it is everything I can do to keep from loosing my head when someone starts to put on their Vicoria's Secret lotion. Does heat bother anyone else?

The smell of chopped onions is a definite trigger- even more than alcohol that only triggers me when i'm in "high-season" (bad cycle-in-cycle). Not sure about any other smells. PFDAN to all, Perry. PS: Chasityb: The combination of humidity and heat always gets me but i also usually have some kind of allergic reaction to that combination.

Yesturday one of the Residents in the nursing home had just come from outside having smoked a cigarett and to begin with I don't do well around smokers do to an allergy of smoke of all kinds. He stopped to talk to me and I about died my head was piercing with pain and after I got done I felt a little like I couldn't move the pain was awful but was short lived. Found two more triggers cheep hairspray and cologn

Smells are not a big one for me but second hand smoke, alcohol, chocolate, bending over, sensory overload and bright light, laying down and who knows what else. Being a chronic makes it rough to even know anymore. PFD's, Joe
