Ok so prolly my probs aren't "clusterheadache specific" anymore. BUt I started talking about my stuff here so I prolly should continue to right? I can BARELY use my right hand/arm now! WTF is wrong with me! Screwed is what. It took me OVER an hour to peel 6 freakin potatoes, and almost half hour to use the hand canopener for 2 cans! Had to keep stopping and take breaks. Cut my hand struggling with the can...nothing big but damn I'm frustrated. Now my right is my mouse hand barely...if i try to move it too much it stars shaking. typing one handed sucks! I like being a fast typer damnit Ok Jusy some plain ol bitchin just very bery frustrated.

I truly hate to ask this stupid question - but is there any chance at all that some of the meds you're taking are working against one another to do this to you? I'm sorry you're having such a hard time of it. I hope they get answers for you soon. Carol

I just barely (like on weds) started back on lithium and verap, other than that a pred taper about a month ago. Had many tapers before. Also take phenergran as needed for years now, never these things. BTW not a stupid question cause if I wasn't uninsured and without meds when this started that would have been my first thoughts too. doing just that paul.....met my new doc on tues

Tara - have you checked on any of the drug sites just to see if maybe one doesn't go well with the other. You could also check with a pharmacist - frankly they know a lot more about drug interaction than the doctors do. The meds don't have time to read all the compendium information. Two years ago my Bill was so sick, lethargic all the time, cramps, could not shave and shower without laying down, shortness of breath and kinds of wierd symptoms going on. He was hospitalized for a two week period. They could not find out what the problem was. Finally, it turned out to be a reaction to a very common beta blocker or blood pressure type of drug. Two days after they took it away - he was back to his old self again. I really hope it's something that simple for you - please keep us posted.

Hang in girl and as my Grandmother used to say "don't trouble trouble, until trouble troubles you". Worrying isn't going to change anything for you and maybe trying to stay calm will help. Yes, I do know how easy it is to say that and I apologize for saying something so trite! Just know there's lots of us here that are willing to listen or to help where we can. Hugs kiddo. Carol

Hi Taraann, I'm glad you're staying on top of this with the docs, but I hope it turns out to be nothing serious. Best wishes! Langa

Taraann A very similar thing happened to me about 10 years ago when I could take drugs to calm the beast. After only 3 days on lithium I had the same things...tingling in the arms and hands. Pain and numbness. Loss of balance. Stopped the lithium and within 2 days all was back to normal. Some meds can stay in the system for years, and something as simple as eating grapefruit...especially grapefruit...can trigger all sorts of nightmare behaviors. Worry if you must, but take a good long look at the meds you take or have taken in the past. It really could be as simple as that. Best of luck to you. The Old Man

TarraAnn, What did I tell ya when ya first got to West Virginia? Do yourself a HUGE favor----put that buggy North on Interstate 77 and go to Cleveland, Ohio. Get an appointment at Cleveland Clinic. Nearly everyone in this state who cares about themselves, heads to Cleveland Clinic. The doctors in this state will not even pay mal-practice insurance----they rely on the state to take that responsibility from them. Its a well known fact that most the medical profession in this state is here because they cannot secure a position anywhere else. I have known several folks who had problems that could not be helped in this state. They have gone from clinic to clinic- dr. to dr.- hospital to hospital-- only to be milked of their bucks. In nearly all cases, it took one trip to Cleveland Clinic to find the cause of their ailments. From there, they get referred to several specialists around the country. Headaches (including CH) and kidneys = Cincinnati. I am telling ya true-----the doctors in West Virginia (although their intentions seem well) are not worth the time to visit. They are good at telling you what you want to hear, but they are not good enough to work anywhere else. This state is full of medical outposts. We call them hospitals. If this were not true, then why in the world would all the surgeons at WVU medical center go on strike, not do life saving sugery, untill the state stept in and proclaimed there will be no malpractice lawsuits????? I have told everyone I know that in the event I need medical attention to take me "out of state. To Pittsburg, Columbus, Cincinnati, or Cleveland Clinic. I do not wish a doctor who practices medicine, I wish a doctor who preforms medicine."""" Its 4 1/2 hours from Charleston to Cleveland. Best of luck. Biker

Tara, Hoping it's just a small meds contradiction if anything. Biker has a good point, take a small trip to get quality evaluation. Wishing you the very best! Another reason I'm glad my folks moved from W.VA. in 1966.

Taraann,I'm no doctor but taken every drug in the book for CH.I've been chronic since 1986.I'll bet along with some of the others that you are having a drug intraction.I went thru quite a few over the years and one of the worse was with "Lithium".Can't diagnose for sure but I would sure let your doctor know asap!If problems get worse, with the holiday here I'd see an emergency doctor.Good luck.David
