"Although a cluster headache can be temporarily debilitating, it causes no permanent harm." ~ Mayo Clinic Well I guess that depends on whether you've decided to commit suicide that cycle or not...

No permanent harm except: Quote:Living with cluster headaches can be difficult. In addition to the physical symptoms, the chronic pain that often accompanies cluster headaches can make you anxious or depressed. Ultimately, it may affect your interaction with friends and family, your productivity at work, and the overall quality of your life. |

" The condition doesn't cause complications or lead to other disorders. " I strongly disagree with that. Ch has caused me to have a mental breakdown, and feel depressed for years. I am severaly depressed because I feel like my life has been stolen from me. And yes I have felt suicidal at times so I just disagree with the statement.

Affect quality of life is an understatement. My kids had to endure a raving lunatic of a mother sometimes. My SO at present cannot fathom my "moods" and knows my head has something to do with it. I know no other hell on earth as such as this beast.

Pappy, I didn't get time until now to post this, but I wanted to let you know how much this diagram helped me, to determine and adequately express how I felt to my doctor. Thank you for sharing it.

Although a cluster headache can be temporarily debilitating, it causes no permanent harm. The condition doesn't cause complications or lead to other disorders. If loss of jobs, relationships, social function, and downsizing personal economy (due to loss of job) is not a complication, then I hope the Mayo Clinic will put me to work. They fail to mention the embarrassment of being "temporarily debilitated" in public, where everyone can see ya going a bit crazy. They fail to mention how CH effects family and friends. If CH causes no permanent harm, then why in the world are we always afraid of when and where the next "hit" will take place----always seeking a place to find avoidance from others who dont understand? The Mayo clinic has a great "steril" slant on a mere headache. I must wonder if they have ever spent time with a CHer? Personally, I have found CH to cause harm, complcations, and other disorders. Who pays those folks to wright that stuff anyway??? Where can I apply for employment with those folks who are so dayummed smart?????
