Today, December 21, 18:35 GMT we (Up Above people) can celebrate the winter solstice. From now on the daylight time will increase, and even the Norwegian Trolls can expect to see the sun again soon. Great joy, the powers of darkness will have to recede. I wish to everyone a happy solstice and a happy whatever other festivity you might celebrate (But I feel sorry for the folks Down Under, their day will start to shorten.) Ueli

Happy Alban Arthan to you Ueli and to all the 'Up Above people'. Us folks here 'Down Under' are happy to celebrate Alban Heffen/Litha (Midsummer Day) as the sun always shines, even in our midwinter we are guaranteed of at least 10 - 11 hours of the light.

Nice post, Ueli... Merry Julebukk. What are the origins of the Christmas traditions? http://www.jamesarthur.net/mm_01.html "If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." -- Thomas Jefferson BB
