When you're cold there on the other side of the ocean, depressed or in pain try these 2 movies: http://ia.imdb.com/media/imdb/01/I/65/73/26m.jpg The Gods Must be Crazy I http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080801/ The Gods Must Be Crazy II http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097443/ For adults and children alike, you'll have great fun and lots of laughs, get warm with the sunshine in these movies and be on a safari tour at the same time. Every year over this season my children and I watch these. Put the spirit back in our souls with laughter. Hope you can rent them there and also enjoy!

Jasmyn, my English teacher showed my class those films back in high school. She's married to a South African, so they had those films at home. Sanna

Thanks for the reminder, Jas. I saw the first one when it was first released, and it's a hoot! I would also like to add that my latest favorite Christmas movie which I bought and will rewatch this time of year is "Love Actually"....very funny and uplifting. Patti

When you watch these, you will see Johannesburg, New York, the Kalahari desert and Botswana and our African wildlife (Pam that will answer most of your questions.) Where I live is very much like Botswana, just without the wildlife(remember that Mozambique has been through a war and killed and ate all of its wild, except for some Elephants in the reserve) I will post some pics later of my closest Bundu Mall. This is slapstick humour with true African flavour! Sanna, I think it is the best and only good movies ever made in South Africa besides Sarafina. The years of Apartheid and isolation, on the one hand made us very self-sufficient but on the other limited us to exposure from the outside world. Patti, it still is a hoot for me after all these years of watching it over and over. Laughter stays the best medicine

The Gods Must Be Crazy is good Jaz. I've seen it several times on cable. Didn't know there was a sequel though. Charlie
