Dylan Senior Project PLEASE READ

Hello, my name is Dylan and I am a 17 year old senior in high school who has been suffering from cluster headache since I was in 8th grade (13).

Every year at my school Clark Montessori, the seniors do what is called a senior project.  This is no ordinary high school project, however. Every senior gets to choose a topic and will research it over the whole year.

With this project, there are several different parts: One part is a paper. For this paper, we will have to write 20+ pages (mine will most likely be closer to 30) on the topic that we choose.  Along with the paper, we are required to do what is called a “senior product.” For this product, our goal is to create something that captures the research investigation. Last, in May, we will give a presentation of our projects.

If you have not already guessed it, my senior project topic is cluster headache with the research question, “What are the most effective treatments for cluster headache?”
Since it is already pretty late in the year, I already have the first draft of my introduction complete which just introduces cluster headaches (I am having trouble attaching it to this response; I will post my intro on a later date).

For my product, I am conducting a survey of people who experience cluster headache. The primary purpose of my product is to provide information about other cluster headache sufferers and their experiences with different treatments, both pharmaceutical and alternative. I want to be able to compare and contrast the different treatments that cluster victims have used and look for patterns in the data.

After I make some slight revisions to my survey I will post it. It will most likely be posted tomorrow 11/23/05 and I would very much appreciate anyone who is willing to participate in my senior project.

Thank you very much,
Dylan

Dylan can you just copy and paste your stuff from word or wherever to the post? Rather than trying to create an attachment.

Unless its like the full 30 pages.

I havent tried it but it should work.

I'm in for the project.

I would do that but my intro is over 10 pages long  Tongue. Also there are some images that are formatted in my paper that would be moved around if i copy-paste. I am going to make it a pdf file soon and then i can make a link for it.

Earliest I remember was 1972 5th grade. Episodic till I went chronic as of Oct.13th. In the beginning I had long breaks between, but as the years went on seems to be more frequent, now its just nonstop, everyday 4 to 8 hits a day ranging from a k-6 up. Until now was not treating just bearing the brunt full force. Now using oxygen to break the hits sooner. Most of the Meds I cant take because of high blood pressure, But have tried LSA which didn't help me. Will be starting Kudzu next week once I am sure all other meds are out of my system. The only meds I take is M-strength Exedrine, but if I dont take at least 2 hrs before I get hit it does nothing. Even taking that only takes the edge off it really doesnt do anything to the hit. I also drink more Coke than anyone that I know, 5-12 cans a day at work and at least 6 20oz cups at 2nd job and 1-2 2 liter bottles at home. That helps some too but still not enough.
I hope that helped some, there are alot of different results and methods here and you should get alot of info from this group of people.

Visual aids are always good if you need to catch the stooges attention. Whether virtual or acutal, injectors, nasals, pills, regulators, bodok washers.......great stuff, but not sure where you could get any of that around here.

You sure have your work cut out for you.
