How to Beat the Flu!!!!

The LAST LINE SAYS IT ALL!!!!!!! It will soon be flu season! How To Avoid It Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies. Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C. Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system. Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around. Get lots of fresh air. Open doors & windows whenever possible. Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can. Get plenty of rest. OR Take the doctor's approach. Think about it... When you go for a shot, what do they do first? They Clean your arm with alcohol... Why? Because Alcohol KILLS GERMS. So....... I walk to the liquor store. (exercise) I put lime in my Corona...(fruit) Celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies) Drink outdoors on the bar patio..(fresh air) Tell jokes, laugh....(eliminate stress) Then pass out. (rest) The way I see it... If you keep your alcohol levels up, flu germs can't get you! My grandmother always said, "A shot in the glass beats one in the ass!" Good ol' grandma!!! Live Well - Laugh Often - Love Much 
and for Jonny just carry on you already knew all this!

Yup. Hard to get flu if you're too wiped to get out of the house. 
Seriously: Keep your fingers out of your eyes, nose and mouth. It's the way so much crap is transmitted. Flu is airborne too but why give it a hand?

I got a flu shot EARLY this year. Course last time I got one a few years back (didn't have none here last year) I got sicker then hell !! Doc said the flu shot miscalculated the flu expected to hit so the one that got me sick wasn't included in the shot. Hey I paid 90 bucks for that dam 'prick' in the arm and coulda stood in line at the clinics with homless and sick people for free ! Decisions decisions Pam

ah man I shoulda read this damn.The night before thanksgiving I spent hugging the old porceline bowl.I was worried about the weather so we stayed at my Grandmothers.At least the kids got to enjoy thanksgiving dinner.My poor Mom cooked the meal and just before dinner she started feeling bad so she didn't eat either.Oh well I had Ginger ale and saltine crackers.I'm feeling better now just really tired and wish I had the licence # of the mac truck that apparrently kept repeatedly running over me.man does this flu
strike hard and fast  .send some stay well vibes please for Beth and April I so hope they don't get this.
