Two things that won't live if they come into my yard or around my house. Spiders and Snakes. I was sitting at my computer looked out the storm door and there on my porch was a rattle snake. I knew he could not get to me but I was still scard. I put the baby and dogs in the play room, told JD he better not come out till I called him. I ran to the shed. I got the ax. Now you talking about scard. I called my husband told him I was going to go kill the snake I kept him on the phone so if the snake won I could get help. I open the screen door to the porch. The snake was still were I saw him. I raise my ax and got close enough to hit him. It was a over kill, I kept hitting him. He is in several parts now. I am so scard of snakes. Had my dog or cat seen him they could have been bitten or worst JD. I am shaking all over. Thats the worst part of fall snakes come out. I am headed to the shed and going to get out the snake away. Its time to spred that stuff. I want a ax with a long handle that one made me get closer to the snake than I wanted to. Do I feel guilty NO!!!

9 feet, 1 inch - 97 lbs. No matter what anybody else tells you, kill the snake before you try to do anything else to it! It's the safest way for you and the snake doesn't care anymore. DEEP-FRIED RATTLESNAKE 1 medium-sized rattlesnake (3-4 lbs.), cut into steaks 1/2 cup flour 1/4 cup cornmeal 1/4 cup cracker crumbs 1/2 cup milk 1 egg 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (not garlic salt) 1 teaspoon salt dash pepper Mix dry ingredients. Whisk milk into beaten egg and use to dip snake steaks. Then coat them with dry ingredients. Fry, uncovered, in 400 degree oil until brown

Snakes don't bother me toooo much unless they are ones like 'that'........I'd be pretty freaked out knowing they were around cuz of accidentally steppin on one and gettin bit or them comeing around the house......and pets getting bit. We have deadly vehicles out here.......close to the road and seems people like to almost hit you when out front checkin mail or mowing. One clipped Brad's rideing lawnmower. There's jus too many and they go too fast out here in the boonies. And they are fatal if one gets ya. Wish I could find some vehicle away for out front yard Pam

You're sumpin' E. Never killed a rattler but ate some once. Pretty dull but Jonny's right. It's good food. Maybe the recipe he posted would do the trick. Charlie

Weird thing, I had a dream last night about killing a rattle snake with my husbands Beretta. (no shit either) I fired multiple times before I got it. I would have been better off with the ax. Good job!
