Blaster of the Past

Been goin thru stuff around the house......too clutter'd.......whadaya do with PILES of old cassett tapes ? I was shocked when I seen the initial pile I ended up with when takein them off some old shelves I need to use for updated stuff and such. I swear I must have over 100 and sum classics at that !! Do people still listen to cassett tapes ? I found some good ones. Oldies and moldies Pam

Maybe you can donate them to a hospital or some other organization; I wonder if kids will listen to them with the same "ewww!" attitude that some of us older CHers had when we listened to our parents' "big band" records (you know-Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, etc.-ewww!).

I bought a demolition derby car a few years back with the original (working) 8 trac and a pile of 8-trac cassetes, We jammed out to some Cat Stevens while tearing the car down. laugh

I remember our old 8 trac players in Brad's cars when datein.......roads used to look like they were decorated for Xmas at nite cuz of all the cassetts that screw'd up and people tossed em out the window. 8 trac cassetts seem'd to have a high death rate Pam
