For the last week, I have been waiting for the Money shot on a big ol 12 point buck. He only lets me have a glimpse of him every now and then, I can here him laughing at me Last night was the final straw, he went to far. I was at the nieghbors house haveing a few beers, at 8:30 I got on my 4wheeler and went home, when I pulled into my driveway the headlight hit him, standing in the middle of the driveway on top of the hill, he just stood there, mocking me, I swear he said, "what you gonna do about it BITCH" Apparently he wants to play games, I wonder if he likes, Throw the rings on the antlers, cause that's what I'm gonna be playin when he's mounted on my wall

You'll never catch him Lube... BTW, two weeks ago I was driving to work and I saw this guy pulling a freshly dead deer into the back of his car. I don't know if it was dead when he got there or he killed it by crashing into it and then decided why not enjoy it for dinner... It was an eerie sight... Langa

Sounds like a ghost deer to me, Jiffy....just hanging around to haunt and taunt.

Reminds me of when I was a teenager. Behind my house, there was this legend deer called Big Hoof. Most people only ever saw it's huge hoofprints, or maybe caught a glimpse of it from too far away. Rumors about it was everywhere in that area, including the random one claiming it to be a doe. I knew for a fact that it was a buck. First time I saw him, I was walking home after huntin' squirrel all day, and nearly walked right into him while lookin' at the treetops for another kill. He looked as big as a bear, but then again, I was only about 10 yards from him and was fairly startled. He just snorted and trotted off. What I wouldn't have given to have had somethin' more than a cheap .22 with me that day... LOL Then a year later, less than a month before deer season, I found Big Hoof runnin' with a group of about 4 old bucks, a few spikehorns, a dozen or so doe, and a couple few bambis. Everyday just as the sun set, they would graze on the other end of a field near my house. I went out every night I could to watch them, and they always showed just at sundown right up 'til archery season started. Oh well... Prolly was for the best they didn't keep the pattern up into deer season. I prolly would've gotten caught by the DNR for huntin' after hours with my luck... LOL Would've been a beauty to bag... 18 point, 22" spread (approx guess), corn fed whitetail. Biggest deer I've ever seen 'fore or since. As far as I know, no one ever did bag him, but then again, he wouldn't be much of a legend if someone had. PFDAN..................................... Drk^Angel

I think I may have found the problem as to why you can't find this elusive buck... DD

Used to watc a huge trophy lookin deer come down the hill out back as soon as Brad left to go huntin every morning.......it had a gorgeos rack that bent in forward........really nice !!!! He never seen any bucks when out hunting sittin in a tree stand all morning freezein his ass off. So he fineally got to see Mr Big Buck out back and was shocked !!! All this time the one you really wanna bag is in yer own back yard !!! So he decides to stay home and hunt out back fineally.....makes sense to me......next day he see's it and the deer seen him and ran back up the hill and there was a loud BOOM !! Sumbody elses lucky day !!! Neighbor got one of thoe piebald deers around here a few years ago......it has so much white it looked like a paint pony. But it had some wierd lumps and stuff and crooked legs. First one I ever saw like that tho with so much white. Bambi-fied Pam

It was well beyond the end of our duck season and I knew bloody well the local policeman suspected me of bagging the occasional feathery, and he's out to get me, eh. Sure enough, pre-dawn and bitterly cold, he responds to my call of "Constable Flannery, come inside for a nice hot cuppa. You must be freezing!" "How ever didja know I was hiding here", sez he. Had to tell him that I didn't know, but I'd been calling out the same thing every morning for the past two months.
