Excellent games. Houston was really tough each game but Chicago's too good this year.

playing 162 game regular season, and remaining in 1st place all season.... alot of real hard work.
going 11-1 in the post-season... alot more really really hard work.
Assembling a team of nobodies, being the underdog all season, and bringing a world title back to Chicago, sweeping an Astros team who are in the WS for the first time in THIER team history...AND being a SOX fan in a land dominated by CUBS fans and having your patience and loyalty rewarded for the first time in 88 years. (yeah, longer than the BOSOX but less than the triple-A club across town) and FINALLY getting to pester all your die-hard cub fan co-workers...
Well, you know the rest.
Let it be said... As of the 27th out last night, The World Title lives SOUTH of Madison AVE. Want some, Get some. Bad Enough Take Some. This victory is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
I have to hand it to the Astros for making the WS for the first time in their franchise history... They played us to the last out and were NOT ( I repeat) NOT easy to beat nor should they consider this a "loss" I thank the Astros for making the White-Sox "legitimate" winners and for helping make this years series what many consider the best WS in history on many levels. Let there be no mistake...
The Astros DESERVED to be there, and let there be even LESS confusion. The 2005 Chicago WhiteSox are without a shadow of a doubt the most fundamentally sound and possibly the best team in baseball history, but even better yet... WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONS!
OMG... I will now go have a coronary (WHAT A FUCKIN SERIES EH?!!!!!) The ONLY thing that could have made this years series more historical and unique would have been to have played the cubs to win it. Honestly though, that would have been the ONLY thing that could have made it ANY sweeter than it is already.
Hats off to the Astros, even though swept, they made it a game every night.
And as a Fan of not only the game but of the WhiteSox...

And in closing... To ALL of you who said it would never happen, To ALL of those sports "experts" of whom NONE picked the Sox to win the division, let alone the ALCS AND the WS... SIT DOWN NOW AND STFU There is NO MORE DOUBT about WHO is the best team in Baseball this year! DAMMIT!!!!

I hope they don't have the victory celebration Friday night. I'm thrilled for them but I'm going to Chicago Friday night to watch Blue Man Group and I don't want to have to deal with the mess that I know will happen at the celebration.
After the game was over, I stepped outside and could hear fireworks (and shotguns ) going off.
I kind of feel sorry for the Astros and all of their fans. They played some really good ball and I'm sure they are dissappointed by the sweep.
The papers here had an article about companies having to deal with 'Sox Flu' today. What's funny is that I'm home sick right now. I wonder if my boss believed me?
