No Sleep for the wicked

well here I am and here ill be, no sleep for the wicked no sleep for me. mind says im tired but brain says no way, apparently I have more debt to pay. day into night as night into day, they all run together and I cant run away. wish the pain would leave me be, no rest for the wicked no rest for me. watching as friends come and go as they please, listening to children playing with glee, wondering what it would be like pain free, hoping to find out before my life flees, talking as though not a care in the world, acting like nothing can break through to me, no time for the wicked no time for me. although friends I have many, even some know the pain, alone is my heart, alone is my brain. watching and waiting is enveloped my life, hiding the pain from my children and wife, hoping the beast will forever forget me, no hope for the wicked no hope for me. Mike, So well put! I wish I could be sleeping now ... tired ... but just can't. For myself, each night the words from "The Logical Song" run through my head endlessly: "There are times when all the world's asleep, the questions run so deep, for such a simple man. Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned, I know it sounds absurd, but please tell me who I am Who I am?" Understand, Dave (PS: Please don't think yourself wicked for what this beast has inflicted on us )

Have you tried melatonin or any of the other sleep tips recommended here Mike? I hope you get a break soon, I know - we all know how much of a killer the no sleep bit of this is. love Helen

| And there it is. Sometimes writing things out makes it easier to cope. Helps to get it out of your head. BTW - if the saying were true "No rest for the wicked" - I know plenty of people who SHOULDN'T be sleeping but are. Wickedness has nothing to do with it. Some of us just have a glitch in our hypothalamathingy. Stay hard bro, you're not alone. Peace, Carl
