1. Grab a calculator (You won't be able to do this one in your head)
2. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area code)
3. Multiply by 80
4. Add 1
5. Multiply by 250
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
7. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again
8. Subtract 250
9. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer?

Unless this is the atomic weight of Ueli's beard hair, these numbers mean squat, but then again, I suck at math, especially on tests.

Must be a trick question.
I don't turn tricks.

This is another Happy nonsense statement. Grin

Only an atom can have an "atomic weight", or as more up to date people would say an "atomic mass number". (Weight is a force caused by the gravitational field of the earth.)
Most stuff is made up of molecules, that therefore have a molecular mass number (or molecular weight in the backwoods). A hair, whether in my beard or on Happys chest, is made up of many different molecules. Therefore, writing of the "atomic weight of a hair" is a blatant case of syntax error. Tongue

Oh yeah, there's an error in the math trick too. It should state: If your phone number does not have exactly 7 digits, the result you'll get is a meaningless string of digits.

Avagadro's number, baby! 6.23x1023 is the number of atoms [or molecules] in a mole.

Standard uncertainty  0.000 0010 x 1023 mol-1

Today's best experimental value of   6.022 141 99 x 1023 mol-1 atoms per mol is the best average for measurements using the best methods available.  The experiments are often very difficult to carry out. That the number today has 8 significant figures is a testament to the quality of modern experimental methods.
