Hey -- I do not suffer from clusters but my husband did. Oxygen was a huge help to him! I'm not sure what state you are in or even if it matters, but his neurologist prescribed oxygen for him and our insurance paid for it. Best of luck to you!

My family doctor perscribed me the oxygen. You should check with your insurance company to see what the coverage is. I was suprised with a few bills when I stopped using it...and I have good insurance. Good luck

There is no good reason why your doctor will not prescribe O2 for you. Oxygen is a common and accepted obortive method for CH. Read oxygen infor at bar to left and if you have to, change doctors. Good luck and PF Days ahead. Phil

Hey Mel, My doctor fought me tooth and nail on the O2. I finally pitched a fit and said to him, "look, I've come here to ask you for treatment for my condition and you're telling me that even with all the info I've just given you you aren't going to prescribe one of the safest methods to help myself?" If he's saying he simply can't prescribe it to anyone he's an idiot. If he's choosing to not prescribe it for you, unless you are a narcoleptic, then he's ill informed and its your job to educate him. If he still relents, then you find you another Dr. and state your needs to the person on the phone before you schedule with another. When you think of all the people trying to con their way into Narcotic painkillers from physicians, you would think getting a little O2 would be a welcome change for a Dr. Scott
