Is a beautiful place. We went to a leuau and ate pork and mahi mahi on our 21 anniversary. We spent the day driving up to the creator of the volcano. Yuk! Not fun for me. We went in a sub and went 200ft down and saw lots of fish. We drove a one lane road all around the island of Moaui! It was nail bitting and scarry. It made HWY 1 in CA look like a piece of cake. no rails, no sides etc. If you met someone you had to go all the way badk to a spot where you both could fit to pass. I saw Charles Lindenberg was burried there. And Opra Winfry owns land in the little town on the coast. Wikki Beach was pretty and we went to Ouhu to see pearl Harbor. It was a good holiday. I couldn't believe how much a house cost 2bdrm 800,000 +. Everything was very expensive. I greatly enjoyed the polinisean dancers. Anyway the flight was 11hours long. My feet sweeled. YUK. I missed you guys and it is good to be home.

Glad you had a great vacation. Did you get your fill of the ABC stores? We did the Hawaii thing a couple years ago. Just about died from the humidity. Also went up to the Diamond Head crater. What a disappointment! There’s a damn army post right in the middle of it. And you’re right about the $$$’s. All in all, it is a nice place to visit.

We have a freind that just came from there.....he was house sitting for some people that moved there from Ohio and actually were visting in Ohio. My neice lives there also.....she's with some sort of group that does yoga or sumthing and teaches it around the world and has a special food diet.....whatever !? Our freind said the natives don't much care for us from the states cuz we all go and want to move there. He was there a few weeks and got to learn alot about the lifestyle and ways. Said there were some areas to stay out of.......didn't like us folk. He had a sportster he could ride all around on durein the day. He said he'd love to move there.....gorgeous place. Grass skirt will travel Pam

| Actually, the truth is the reason the natives don't like us average American main land tourists is because we're just average Americans. They like the Japs, big time! The average Japanese can't afford the outragous prices. The Japanese that visit the islands are the rich Japanese. Those wealth tourists get waited on hand and foot while the avarage American vistor stands and waits. And just for the record, IMHO, Hawaii is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there.

Do they just look at us as pesty temporary pesants......people who come to enjoy what they got for a week and leave but allot try to figure out ways to find work and stay or buy a house and stay. They rather have the real rich japs stay instead ? Kind of like liveing around a campsite park place and putting up with all the visitors and campers for the week or weekend that are crawling all over the place. They get sick of them and how they crowd there stores and streets. Is it anything like that ? My niece got in with that yoga person that teaches it and travles and she's been there for about 6 or more years. Lived in what tshe called a 'coven' ???? We weren't sure what she ment by that but we do know she likes GIRLS. She's got to travel alot with the group goin to some pretty impressive places. Always been FACINATED by paradise Pam

| Yep. That's pretty much how it is. The Japanese own just about everything in that state. It may look American or Hawaian but it belongs to the Japanese. And once the Japanese buy something it is theirs forever.

Rats Karla and Don. Another one to cross off my list; not that I had any plans. Mom and dad were big on Burmuda although they were there only once. Very glad you had some fun though. Charlie
