I sit in the woods for hours at a time waiting for that monster buck, who new all I to do was drive home from work to get it I'm drivin home yesterday down a back road and I must admit I wasn't lettin any grass grow under the tires. All of the sudden, the back end of the truck flew up in the air, I didn't see anything! so I stopped and got out, looked around for a second and saw an antler sticking out of the side of my tire So I searched the ditch and there he was, well,,, what was left anyways . That stupid sombitch ran plum into the side of my truck, cracked the fiberglass dually fender and blew out the outer tire, luckily it's a dually so I had another one to get me home Stupid Deer!

I had a deer ram the ass end of my little Mercury Bobcat. Put a good size dent in the right rear quarterpanel. I stopped to look for the deer. Just as I got to where it was laying, it jumped up and looked at me for a second, then cleared barb-wire fence and was gone. It's lower jaw had gotten caught on my back bumper and was hanging by some skin, swinging from side to side. Kind of made me sick to think it was going to die like that. What a waste. It would have been a welcome addition to my freezer.

It's funny you should mention....Driving to work this morning and when I left Pennsylvania...no rain...well I get past Trenton, NJ and the skies open up. Rain so hard I had to wait to go under the overpasses to see anything and make sure I was in the right lane. I see three deer just beginning to cross Route 1. I saw them in plenty of time and began to slow down & eventually stop. Well my (and the other 2 cars') headlights freaked out the deer and all three "bolted" across the road, jumped over the median, right into on coming traffic. The look on the southbound oncoming cars must have been priceless...imagine going 50 to 60 MPH and all of a sudden 3 deer appear jumping over your car... No worries the only thing that was damaged were nerves. So I finally make it into work and what's standing on the company's feeder road...yup...3 more deer. This time the headlights had the opposite effect...They just stood there with the "DickLook". Had to drive on the lawn to get around them. Does rain bring em out, or something?

I was heading out to the airfield, one foggy morning, to do some flying. As I turned down the gravel road, there was a deer running along side the road. I was trying to drive slow to keep from spooking it, but it was panicking like crazy. Finally, I thought, "Fuck it," so I hung my head out the Jeep window and started screaming at her. She took a look at me, and at the same time, tried to jump the fence of the pasture and ended up slamming her head right into one of the fence posts. "CLANG!!!" It was awful, but so damn funny... I was laughing so hard, I had to pull over and stop. LMMFAO....

Sorry about your truck, Gif, but glad you're okay. Just after I graduated high school, I hit a deer with my VW beetle. But all that happened was a dented trunk lid and an unfortunately dead deer. (and it wasn't even a buck).

About 4 years ago, I was coming home from work around midnight. Less than a mile from my home, I glanced out my side window just in time to see a rack slam into that window.......scared me to death. I stopped quickly, expecting to see one dead deer, and one side missing off a Grand Cherokee. Much to my suprise I couldn't find the deer, and the only damage to the Jeep was a combination of hair and deer snot from the driver's door to the tail light. It wasn't my time....or the deer's.......<whew> Bill

Scareiest thing I ever saw (well one of the most....I have several scarey things) was comeing home from my daughter's outside of Solon Ohio at nite. That area is plauqed with deer and a real problem. I could not beleive what I saw.......deer were shiloettes in the middle of the highway and you could see them from oncomeing traffic standing there WAITING to bail across and had made it across one lane (ours) already. Then I seen deer everywhere like "nite of the liveing deer"......they were running across the highway in front of traffic goin 65 to 75 all bumper to bumper and I could see them roll over hoods and windsheilds of cars in front of me and then get legs crushed by cars in the next lane as them started to hit pavement then that'd flop them and twist em and the were inbetween fast and slow lanes crumpled up trying to get up LEAPING in mid air over other cars or on top of hoods or getting ran over more !!! It was unreal like some sort of sci-fi movie !!!! I seen one car in front of me's entire hood and windshield a solid deer that rolled onto it upside down and headlights from the truck behind showed thru onto it and the driver could not see nothin else !!! I can't beleive no one wrecked with that much traffic goin that fast !!!!! Wouldn't of taken much for one to swerve and cause a major pileup. One big huge deer got hit just ahead of us several times boucneing off vehicles then as we went by I seen it in the dark rite next to my side (passenger) rite in the white line LEAP about 5 foot in the air but lucky for us it was goin away from us or it'd of landed rite on top the truck !!!!! Front legs were all hanging and busted off. It was raining to ta make it even worse. When we came up over a hill and solid traffic both ways I can't beleive how many shiloettes off deer in the middle ready to 'take the leap' !!!!! Someone even got shot out that way with white gloves on in there garden cuz a hunter was trailing deer and there were so many he didn't think before he shot and thought her gloves were deer tails as she was walking to the house and shot her !!!! Community was against snippers comein in to thin the herds tho. Man they got a real problem out there. Deer bashing Pam
