Interesting. Should be fun to follow the skeptic sites on this one. Charlie

| Well you had to ask. Only God really knows how long creation took, and how old the Earth is. As for Carbon 14 dating, here is my take. If you believe the Bible, then it is known that before the flood there was a layer of water in the upper atmosphere. I believe that this layer of water would have blocked most cosmic rays from hitting the atmosphere which creates carbon 14 and also from hitting people, which resulted in long life spans. Since there was far less carbon 14 being created any carbon 14 dating done to something before the flood would come up as being older than it actually is. Also since people lived to be much older than now, and most biblical genealogies being incomplete the time of Adam and Eve date back to far older than most people believe. Remember, other than the layer of water in the atmosphere, the rest is all just my theories. Opus/Paul

Too bad belief in science isn't as simple. Lots of proof needed for it. Not that I'm sure of this dig yet. There are lots of hoaxes in every human endeavor. Piltdown Man comes to mind. Charlie
