The heat is on!....

Woke up this morning, half the windows open...under a big ole pile of blankets nice and warm.....whipped those suckers off and I was in Alaska. Ran like all hell for the thermostat and started slamming windows 
Old man winter is about to put the boots to most of us....so are the gas and oil companies.
I envey you folks burning wood like you read about!!!
Whos got heat on?

I've had the heat on for the past 5 days. Had 1 fire in the fireplace so far, and that was yesterday morning. Gotta get the wood moved to the back of the garage and hubby will be busy cutting more soon, for the upcoming winter. Hibernation is upon us! LOL

Got the AC at work on 70 and the AC at home still on 76... We can send some your way......
Power Company still kicking my ASS for AC.. about $350.00 a month....

4 days ago we had an "extreme weather warning" posted for central Texas telling of a cold front approaching and telling us that a jacket may be required We actually got as low as 75 degrees BRRRRR

Snow? but Rex your push pin looks to be stuck in the Island of Niihau. Are you sure that isn't volanic ash?
Temps are perfect here in NY, Highs in the 50's, low in The 40's finally don't need AC.

This is Kansas, one week we get the cold from Colorado and the next the heat wave from the south. Last week it was near 90 this week barely 60 and 30's at night. We installed a heat pump a couple of years ago so I hope the gas crunch won't kill us.
Definitely time to put away the flip flops.

Furnace has been on for a few days but hasn't run much today. At about 9:00 PM here in western, NY State, it's about 53 outside. All in all, fall is late this year. Hottest summer in 40 years.
