Just thought I'd make mention of them here. I wonder. How many of us go to the Help and Support board and the Guest Book after posting pics of what we are having for dinner, what we are listening to, pains in out toe nails, etc. etc.

Pardon me, but I cannot, for the life of me, understand why you would even give a rip what someone else is posting. After all the mindless drivel you have been involved in lo these many years, NOW you have turned around, all the caliber of words, the subject matter and presentation are suddenly important to you?

| Cathi... I dont think that Don was 'ripping' at anyone about anything. What he said shouldnt be taken personal and actually should be construed just as a reminder. Sometimes people can get wrapped up in what is going on on the message board section of this board and tend to forget that there are other parts like the guest book. This isnt a bad thing and neither is what Don said, we just need to remember to check those parts out once in awhile. There are some posts on the guest book that are looking for help and guidance from fellow clusterheads... hopefully we can be there for them. And thanks to all that do. I hope that this isnt taken the wrong way at all, it isnt anything personal.. just dont think that he said anything wrong and I thank him for the reminder. Jill

| Over to the left in the buttons there is one that says message board. Open it uo and there are several boards that are for CH advice, meds, alternative therapies, etc. We even have a section that everyone likes called GENERAL POSTS where we can post pics, humor, laugh and cry together, oh and Don can whine and complain about the way in which we use this board when he isn't busy doggin' somebody or giving someone like me a hard time. BTW Don - Nice boat. Did Lance like it? Peace, Carl

| You are not pushing my buttons don. I was merely thanking you. I am not sure who you are quoting because I ignore all improperly coded quotes. I assumed that your reference to "Opie" is referring to me and that you just have the 'i' and 'e' keys confused with 'u' and 's' keys again. Maybe a typing class would help. I do have one question, why do you go through the trouble of removing the name and date from the quotes in the first place? I usually only see this type of deliberate attempt to cause confusion in the most dedicated of Internet trolls. I guess I have answered my own question. Your continuous attempts at demoralizing the OUCH BoD prove how dedicated you are to the troll lifestyle. Opus/Paul PS I can play the messing with quote tags game too but will only reserve it for you.

| Because the site has grown so much, this is exactly why DJ set things up like this. A general board, music, dinner, circus midgets whatever, it is on this board that the family fights come out, where the true mettle ofa person is gauged beyond the mere pain of CH. The Medical professionals get to see the 'other' side of a CH patient, is that such a bad thing? Most of the info on the other boards right now is info that I could add nothing of futher value to. Right now, my help is through trying to helping state of mind. Cat

I dont want to make anyone mad here - really but I want to say this... Why does this have to turn into a fighting match? I cant find any reason for it. Don was merely, as I said before, reminding us that there are other places on this board where people are looking for some help. So it should be a thank you for reminding me. I dont think that his original post was towards anyone in particular. I dont think that it was an attack on anyone not posting or posting certain places nor do I think that it was meant in a way that says that no one is helping others... jeesh, did that make sense? The point, help when you can and when you can, dont forget to check out the guestbook. Jill

| This is the board is a playground for all of us. Don's inflatable dolls, Lance, dinners works of photographic masterpieces. We all help in the ways we can, and play to forget the ways this disease destroys parts of our lives and steals pieces of our souls with each attack, each cycle, each year that passes. Every piece we steal back with a laugh, a joke, a prayer, a sharing of the daily lives where we transcend the pain is another piece the beast cannot keep. Pegg

| Are they now? Let me see here, for one - I've suckered NO ONE thank you very much, but have been suckered a time or two. No one here has paid my rent but me, I pay my utilities and my smokes, But I have been helped by a few clusterheads with meds and back when I had no insurance or anything and couldn't even get into see a doctor, Elaine and Phil C started a medical fund for me, and it was documented where the money for that went. And as far as the hotel goes, I was staying with BarbD last year when Jonny surprised me with my own room. Did I sucker him into doing that? No. Did I repeatedly thank him? Yes. When I got to DavCon, Liz had told me she got me a hotel room. Did I ask her to? No. Did I thank her? Yes. And for your information, I have helped people both on and off this board as well. I just don't go tooting my own horn everytime I do. Maybe you even forgot that little event I tried back in 2003 called OUCHfest. Sure it failed, but I gave it everything I had. When I look at how little people actually participate on the OUCH boards, I'm not surprised that it failed. It broke my heart because I put so much work into it for weeks. What is funny though is how little help I received from the OUCH prez at that time DON. Right now I am trying to put together another OUCHfest, but I won't be performing since the last one I emceed, performed twice in one night, etc. I learned alot from the first attempt, and am trying to get one of the bigger midwest acts to perform. Normally I wouldn't let an attack like this bother me except the fact is, I have left alot of shit off of this board that I had have to go through because I don't want people feeling sorry for me or whatever. In fact, the last couple of months I have screwed myself by helping others (including my own brother who could give a rip what happenes to me) and I will do anything I can to help anybody. Sure, there are people here who have helped me in alot of ways, and then there are some who I have helped. I will give you one example: Last year after Nashville, Jonny got on the board and said his cycle was cranking up and he couldn't get his meds right away. I was one of many who shipped him some stat-dose cartridges asap. But just another instance of my greed and selfishness is since I wasn't able to go down and help in Houston after Katrina hit, I donated $100. My sis in law thought that was crazy since I really couldn't afford it, but my conscience wouldn't let me go until I did something. But I'm not gonna sit here and brag about all of the good things I do because I don't need to stroke my own goat. I knew some people on this board viewed me as a 'low-life' but to say I've 'suckered' people on here is probably the coldest thing I've ever been called. I've gone out of my way for others many times and got burned. But that isn't even this cold. But I'm sure this will make you smile and brighten your day Don, since I'm now a low life with a broken heart that is little good to anybody, even myself. Thanks for the encouragement bro in letting me know that no matter what I try to do for anyone, it will only fail. Happy now Fuckhead?

I don't need to justify myself to anyone, and nor does anyone else. What I do or don't do for anyone else is between me and them and not the whole world. If I want you to know I'll tell you. To everyone else, sometimes all of you being here is all the help I need. Emotional support is as beneficial as knowledge particularly when it is given with an open heart. My two cents worth.
