Catlind, i've sent you my phone number in case you want to talk further about this. I know about this tumor firsthand. It's a genetic problem in my family. We get these tumors in our kidneys. It's a very deadly tumor in that the chemicals it produces can elevate your blood pressure so high and so fast, you'll go into cardiac arrest. Most people with these tumors go into surgery for removal of them as soon as they're found out. I had mine removed when I was 17. Langa A link I found that might be helpful. http://www.endocrineweb.com/pheo.html

Thanks Langa, I had already used that website as well as the NIH one. If you don't mind, I will take you up on that offer of a phone number. I found out yesterday that's what's going on (or rather they are fairly certain but want to run a couple of other tests to confirm it). Considering my already existing cardiac issues, and some that were rather severe (myocardial ischemic attack, atrial fibrillation and left atrial enlargement) she (my endocrinologist is a bit concerned). Sorry I didn't want to go into the details of this on here, it's not for this board, I just wanted to find people who might know where I can turn to get support. Thanks Cat

| 1 - You are a clusterhead. 2 - You are on the general board. 3 - You are family. Those tickets let you post ANYthing! It is your right, seeing you hold the above tickets. I am fairly certain anyone of us have a spare shoulder to cry on. An extra ear to listen to you. A warm body, just to be here for you. We may know nothing about what you have, but we still care, and want to do whatever we can for you. Use us. Chuck

Cat Forgive me I Know nothing of your situation and only wish you the best: Is it possible that the Pheochromocytoma is causing your severe headaches and you don't really have clusters ? Maybe a surgery can solve alot of your problems ? Best Wishes UNsolved Symtoms of Pheochromocytoma include: Headaches (severe) Excess sweating (generalized) Racing heart (tachycardia and palpitations) Anxiety / nervousness (feelings of impending death) Nervous shaking (tremors) Pain in the lower chest or upper abdomen Nausea (with or without nausea) Weight loss Heat intolerance

Here's the NIH site: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000340.htm Symptoms Return to top * Severe headache * Palpitations * Rapid heart rate * Sweating * Flushing * Chest pain * Abdominal pain * Nervousness * Irritability * Increased appetite * Loss of weight Of course I couldn't get the weight loss one!!! hehe Michael, it's possible this will fix the headaches, but as of this point, neuro, neuro surgeon and endo all believe it won't likely make a difference. I may contact Marcello Bigal or Dr. Tepper at NECH and ask them about it though. Thanks for the thoughts, here's hoping I just screwed up another test and failed by default. Cat
