2005- has been a very tough year

Jan 20- Dave's mom ended up in ICU after a botched surgery- finally woke up 44 days later only to find that all the cancer was not removed and has just now healed enough to have completed her first round of radiation treatments and still no definite answers on whether it's gone or not. Feb. 1- Dave's younger brother took his own life after 40 years of severe anxiety disorder resulting in severe mental disurbance/bi-polar syndrome/schizophrenia/agoraphobia and could never find any real help due to income levels and the fabulous government treatment for low income families. Dave in the meanwhile still doesn't know just what's wrong with him. He would love to be here right now, but only has about 4 hours a day when he can even function in any way, the rest is taken up with attack after attack which leave him crawling across the floor if he has that much strength- to find something hard to press his head against. Oct. 2- Dave's dad has been ill for almost exactly 2 years and was diagnosed 1 year ago with Lou Gehrig's Disease- today they removed him from the ventilator and he slipped peacefully away. 3 months to go . We could sure use a knot at the end of this rope- Dave says he would love to be able to talk on the phone to this family as a whole, and a whole lot of individuals in particular. He will write more as soon as he can, but "time" is an ethereal entity which his brain does not always recognise. (2 days=2weeks, and Tuesday was 3 days long, and the day before yesterday was 3 months ago). On a more positive note- we are "under contract" for a sale on our house, but...... there is a financing glitch for the buyer... we could use some prayers/juju/vibes for the buyer to get the loan quick/fast/tomorrow. Annette

Dave and Annette, you don't know how often I think of the two of you. It sure has been a rough year. At least it is almost over. All the prayers, vibes, and juju, I can muster (and there are LOTS of them) are headed your way, as usual. Love to you both Chuck
