A cool website about psych meds...

I found it extremely educational and entertaining to have found this website that has helped me understand immensely, why it's important for me to be treated for my panic/anxiety depression disorder. (my neighbor lady calls it some psychotic symptoms with depression and anxiety caused by suppressed emotions after miscarriage. (she works with the mentally ill, LOL, i love her, she's my adopted mom  )
Anyway, if anyone out there is like me, and HATES to take psych meds, this site will help you to get over the fear of taking meds prescribed for our conditions. And hey, all we really are is "mentally interesting".

No one should be offended at the posting of the site. I think there is way too much stigmatism in the way of mental health, or illness. We are not crazy people, and beings that people here suffer with the worst pain known to man, you'd think we'd tend to have a little bit more wires crossed that your normally average human. There is NOTHING wrong with that, and honestly, I don't think there is a "normal" human being alive.
Anyway, I hope it helps someone as it's helped me.

Lucky me. Looks like I still have some time before I'll be too ill to post. 
All seriousness aside, I've been taking this ineffective shit since 2000. I can list other side-effects too but I don't wanna get wound up. Of course, thanks to this crap, I'm happy as a lark.

Take heed to this statement.
The biggest mistake people make is self or support person diagnosing of mental problems. Even though others may be professionally trained in the mental health field, personal bias can be problematic. Also, don't be as concerned with what your diagnose is as what your symptoms/ problems/ changes are. The best thing you can do is inform your doctor/ therapist of what the problems are including: when it began, what may have triggered the problems, what is "normal" for you, and any other changes you or others around you may have noticed.
Keep in mind diagnosing mental disorders is very subjective and is a "soft" science, therefore the actual diagnose is not as important as the behavioral and emotional changes from which you are suffering. I would recommend a more reputable website to help keep you informed and answer questions you may have. It is:

I don't mean to put down the website you found, but there is just so much bullcrap out there that can quite often do more harm than good (particularly with mental health.)

Sheri, I do thank you for your concern, but you need to realize that there are a LOT of people on this particular website, who are my support system, along with people here at home. I've known some people here for 5 years, they are my family. I've met many of them in person. I'm sorry my post the other day concerned you, but as I also posted, I sought help from my doctor. Many believe they can handle mental illness on their own, but I had hoped by posting the website addy, that some of the stigmatism could be removed from people feeling ashamed about seeking help for their mental problems.
And to honestly tell you, I felt uncomfortable when I read "Your post the other day REALLY had me concerned." See, a sentence like that puts me on the defensive because it makes me feel like I am really fubared, when in reality, what I'm going through, is very treatable with meds and therapy (whether that be from a professional or an awesome support group like I have). I am not upset with you, just wanted to tell you that there's more to me than that 1 post, and I never just go off of a website for help. That wouldn't be too bright, for anyone.

Too tired to write more - been awake 24 hours now. I think I started getting quasi delirious towards the end of night shift - right around 5:30 or 6am. Now I'm gonna crash...and thank god for ativan.
