GRANNY Barb D!!!! Yesterday I RETIRED!! Today I'm moving into my NEW office (ok so I SEMI-retired -- but I AM moving to Shreveport) FIRST load in the new office (in Shreveport) Granny is carrying a box, trips over the curb, falls (drops the damn box and scatters stuff all over the parking lot) busts both knees and her arm and is bleeding all over everywhere. And my little grandson is with me so I can't even say the WORDS I would like to be yelling!!!!!! Great new beginning - way to get into this retirement thing. Right now I'm sitting at this computer getting stiffer and stiffer - don't think it hurt this bad when I fell - can't wait to see what morning brings. And I've got to drive back to Texas and pack up another load.....Geezzz! My knees look like someone took a cheese grater to them. And to make things perfect - there's a church next door to the new office and the preacher came to call tonight while I'm have pizza and beer with the kids.... Oh well - might as well break him in right - and NO I didn't put the beer up and he didn't say a word - just prayed for me. I'm going to bed now and wake up in a new millinium (or however you spell the next 1000 years turnover).... Hugs BD

Good God woman - somedays if it wasn't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. You need to enlist some strong young men to come and help you with all that back breaking labour - don't be doing it yourself. Get in a hot tub with some epsom salts and see if you can get some of that stiffness out of those poor knees. By tomorrow you likely will be black and blue. Good luck hon. Please take better care of yourself. Hugs - Carol

The hot tub is the best idea yet........stay in it a couple days......doctors orders ! Maybe some advil will also help with the 'opps I've fallen' pain and swelling for the next day or two. Beer will help too.........beer cures everything for a little while Pam edit: my spelling is gettin worse and worse.....I need hot tub theropy.........

Barb, I'm so sorry you fell... I hate that. Unfourtainly, I've turned into queen of felling and tripping. For some reason I do that a lot in abroad: I fell 3 times in London, once in Rome (yup, that hurted for a week!). I must admit, some cute guys rushing in to help would have made things much, much better... I hope that things look brighter in the morning and that from now on things will go along smoother. And that some nice fellows turn up to help! Best wishes, Sanna
