I need this family today of all days.

This is the hardest decision I've ever had to make. I'm so tired of having to always be the strong one.
The trouble with this situation is that Mom "doesn't" want any means keeping her from passing if it is her time to leave this world. Been on and off the phone with my brother this morning, and just called the hospital for an update before I go in. She is still gaining weight from the kidneys not being functional, shes only put out 500 units of urine. She's taken in over 6000 units of fluids. Her hands and feet anr swollen tight from the fluid retention. Dialasis is the only option and she would not want that. My brother is on his way up, and today, with his support, I will be making the final determination of taking her off all treatments and allowing her to pass.
Please send all the vibes you have to spare and light candles, say prayers, whatever....I need all the strength I can get today....
Mom, I love you and I will follow your wishes as you asked me to. I'm not ready for you to go, but you've suffered enough. It is time to let you pass and I will see you on the other side.

I'm so sorry Redd. It's definitely not an easy thing to do, but it's what she wants. I had to do the same with my Mother. It was extremely hard for me but she had suffered so much for so long, I knew it was what she needed and wanted. That knowledge help me to do the right thing for her.

You’re a good daughter Pegg and you’re doing what would make your Mom happy though it is very tough for you…I really admire you Sis. Your mama put *you* in charge for a reason. I'm guessing that reason is because she knew that you would carry out her wishes and let her die on her own terms and in peace. Think about the peace she will have once she's out of this mortal body and her soul can fly free, unemcumbered by the ravages of the disease that slowly took her away from the family and from herself. Her physical body is just the shell that holds her soul and all that makes her *who* she is. You may can take the physical body, but the essence of the soul never leaves those of that are left behind.

I cannot tell you when this happens, but I have been there. When you need it most the memories will replace the pain, and envelope you with peace. Till then, you have so many who care for you.
