That's really quite chilling......
 
We've been watching the rise and fall of the gulf on my grandparents' place in Western Florida for years.  We can count the steps lost to beach erosion - or rather, the beach covered up all the lower steps as the sand was deposited farther up due to storms and high tides.  It's a little scary....
